The Voice of New York, Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez, Lands at The Travel Agency

On July 16th, Angie Martinez stepped out from behind the mic and assumed a new role: Guest Travel Agent at The Travel Agency’s Downtown Brooklyn location.

As our Guest Travel Agent, Angie guided customers and eager fans through our diverse product menu, sharing her favorite products and her passion for the plant. From the moment she arrived, Angie immersed herself in every aspect of The Travel Agency, from taking in the terpene wall to capturing photos as she savored every moment throughout the evening. Angie shared cannabis insights — and plenty of love — with customers, staff, and the community.

Angie has been a staple on New York City radio for decades, first with HOT 97 and now with Power 105.1’s long-running morning show The Breakfast Club. Dubbed “The Voice of New York,” thousands of listeners spend their mornings listening to Angie interview celebrities, share her love of hip-hop, and uplift her Puerto Rican culture. She’s also a two-time author of My Voice: A Memoir and Healthy Latin Eating: Our Favorite Family Recipes, and she hosts a podcast, In Real Life With Angie Martinez.

Fans were eager to meet Angie and hear more about cannabis, music, and culture from the legendary New Yorker. She effortlessly mingled with customers and staff, charming visitors with her trademark charisma. Angie shared her favorite venues to discover emerging rap, R&B, and hip-hop artists while encouraging folks to explore The Travel Agency’s menu. She also offered playlist suggestions for enjoying the streets of NYC while high.
