Third cannabis dispensary opens in New York City. Here’s what it looks like.

The The Travel Agency is the latest cannabis dispensary to open in New York state.

Customers browsed products for sale in the small storefront on East 13th Street in lower Manhattan on Monday. The Travel Agency is the third legal dispensary to open in Manhattan, and the fourth throughout New York state.

More than half of the proceeds at the Union Square dispensary go back to the Doe Fund, a New York City nonprofit that serves formerly incarcerated and unhoused people, said the dispensary’s president Arana Hankin-Biggers. The Doe Fund received the conditional adult-use recreational dispensary license to operate The Travel Agency.

At the Union Square dispensary, there were 19 suppliers selling more than 150 cannabis items, store operating partner David E. Vautrin said.

This included actual cannabis flower, but also items such as pre-rolled joints, edibles, vape pens and gummies. There were other products, like rolling papers and bongs, also available for purchase.
